Weekend retreats are designed to provide siblings the opportunity to spend an entire weekend together just being kids – making breakfast together, playing outside, and watching an evening movie with popcorn. We have themes to go with the season including Fall Harvest, Thanksgiving, Winter Fun, and Spring Break! We bring up to 30 children and 15 volunteers, including licensed nurses, together for this activity filled weekend and different venues throughout Massachusetts. They typically begin on Friday at dinner time and end Sunday after lunch.
We are committed to providing a safe environment for both adult volunteers and youth and have made the difficult decision to postpone 2021 retreats. We have tentatively scheduled 2022 retreats as follows:
Groton, MA Retreat, March 4-6, 2022: This retreat will serve siblings separated in foster care throughout Northern and Central Massachusetts. We have rented a winterized camp with lots of fun indoor and outdoor activities, an outdoor campfire, and more
New Hampshire Retreat, May 2022 (tbd) : This pilot retreat will serve siblings separated in foster care throughout New Hampshire. In partnership with the NH Foster and Adoptive Parent Association, we will bring up to 30 siblings for a beautiful spring weekend in the White Mountains. Bus transportation will be provided for families living farther than 45 minutes from the Lodge. The event will begin on Friday afternoon and conclude on Sunday after lunch. Registration will open on September 1, 2021 at Sibling Connections Registration System
