Rodman Ride for Kids

Mark your calendars for September 26, 2020, the VIRTUAL Rodman Ride for Kids! We are excited to participate in our 2nd year of the ride, and while we can’t all be together in person for the event, we have fun options for challenging yourself while raising funds for siblings separated in foster care.

This year, participants may elect to bike 25 or 50 miles , or sign up for their own adventure! “Your own adventure” could be anything – hiking, walking, yoga, baking, or whatever hobby you love to do. This year the minimum fundraising requirement is $300. The Rodman Ride for Kids organization understands that this is a unique year for The Ride, so they have put into place some great incentives throughout the summer to get us motivated to be successful:

July 2020 Incentive Reached!

Between July 1-31, 2020, we successfully recruited at least 25 Sibling Connections participants who have committed to raising a minimum $300 by 9/26. Therefore we have met the Rodman organization challenge, and will receive an additional Rodman Ride for Kids $5,000 donation to Sibling Connections!

Ongoing Incentives

  • Sibling Connections participants who raise $500 by the end of August will receive a Sibling Connections Logo Tumbler.
  • All Rodman participants who raise $1,000 by the ride date of September 26 will receive a Rodman Ride for Kids dri-fit t-shirt.
  • All Rodman participants who raise $1,500 by the end of August will be entered into several raffle giveaways in addition to the incentives above.
  • The Sibling Connections Team that raises the most will receive an extra special prize!!

2019 Ride Results

Sibling Connections completed a successful first Rodman Ride on September 21, 2019. This is the largest one-day event in support of children in New England. Nine Sibling Connections riders raised over $22,000, 100% of which went directly into Sibling Connections programs. It was a fun, non-competitive ride through beautiful countryside and ended with a celebratory BBQ.
